In the field of »Neurology«, we present a non-invasive procedure for patients with Alzheimer's disease – Transcranial Pulse Stimulation (TPS) using the NEUROLITH® system.

The NEUROLITH® is a device for patients with Alzheimer's disease and has been CE-marked since 2018. The word »transcranial« means »through the skull«. TPS involves controlled transmission of acoustic pulses through the scalp and skull into the regions of the patient's brain typically affected by Alzheimer's disease. TPS is used concomitantly with standard treatment.

The acoustic pulses generated by the NEUROLITH® system have been used in medicine since 1990 to treat various conditions and are referred to as »extracorporeal shock waves«. They are used, for example, in the treatment of tendons, ligaments, muscles and bones as well as the heart.
